The reason I say "human female" is because with the way things are going with this election, I wouldn't be surprised if an actual inanimate object was in the running for the presidential office as well. In my opinion, the fact that Hilary Clinton - a veteran politician with more years in politics than I've lived on this earth, who has lived in the White House as first lady for 2 consecutive terms and served as Secretary of State for 4 years -is running against human pumpkin Donald Trump who has as much political experience as I do, makes me want to drink... a lot.
And so every time these two human beings debate, I find myself making a drinking game out of it because it feels like one big, sad, doomsday joke. Also, I'm upset for Hillary Clinton. And here's the kicker, I'm not even the biggest Hillary fan. She supported a lot of destructive policies in the past and has said and done some things that are truly despicable. She's not my favorite person. But the fact that she's a contender for president and has to run up against what is essentially a regurgitated cheeto wearing a wig and a suit is beyond insulting. It's insulting to me as a voter and to Hilary as a female politician.
I've never eeeverrrrr felt a need to voice my opinions about politics because it always seemed like a bunch of talking heads. Two sides that didn't agree. Two groups that had different interests in mind. Any person could be on either side and make some valid points. It was possible to say you believed "such and such" candidate would best serve your interests and there was no cognitive dissonance needed to make that statement (although I will reserve my right to side-eye Black repubs). But with this election, the line is clearly drawn. I'm making snap judgements on people based on their choices. And it makes me feel like a terrible person because who am I to judge someone on the basis of what they believe?
But whatever... here's my snap judgment... Stupid people are voting for Donald Trump. That's pretty much it. Any person that votes for this orange moron deserves to have him as their president. There are no exceptions to this rule whatsoever.
I don't really have any snap judgments for people voting for Hillary. It doesn't make them smart. It doesn't make them stupid. It just means someone gave them the option of eating a shit sandwich (with the label "shit sandwich" still on it) and an actual sandwich and they chose to eat an actual sandwich. A bomb was not de-fused. Yes, they made the right decision, but... duh.
With that said, I'm currently making up some drinking games so that I can survive tonight's debate. Also, I will most likely live-tweet while watching this circus act. In less than a month, all of this will be over and hopefully our country will have learned its lesson seeing how close we came to the ledge. And maybe if Hillary runs for a second term, we can have her go up against a real candidate.
Regardless of whatever happens... I will never forget who the stupid people are.
